Pastels

     I love the feel of a pastel in my hand.... especially the blending of rich pastel colors. I love both chalk and oil pastels and enjoy mixing them with other media. This section will be slow to fill as it is a medium I only work in occasionally, due to the need to frame the works immediately upon finishing, in order to protect the fragile nature of the medium. This can become a financial burden unless the work is commissioned. However, I hope to begin a series of pastel landscapes soon. Both of the works below were featured in the summer issue of Altitude Magazine.
