It all began with ideas, bits and pieces of buildings he liked. We sat down and looked through a stack of magazines so that I could get the 'vision' of what was in his mind. Next, I drew out a floor plan and we got together again to make changes and work through this until we were 'seeing' the same thing coming together. 

It was a work of modeling as we worked through the ideas and purposes of the building. Just as a work of art does not come together clearly in the first stage, this was no different. It was a process of trying things out, seeing what fits, and throwing out the things that does not work.
